Taychreggan
is a deeply relaxing
and secluded Scottish country house hotel, beautifully situated on the shores
of Loch Awe, Oban, Scotland.
Originally
a humble cattle drover's inn, it has been tastefully updated and the view through
the windows over the water is superb. There are 20 bedrooms, some with four posters,
with many overlooking the loch. Named
by AA as one of the most romantic hotels in Scotland,
it is ideal for a Scottish honeymoon or romantic break. Surrounded
by mountain grandeur, loch, forests and an abundance of wildlife, Taychreggan
makes a perfect venue for the walker, fisherman, cyclist or photographer.

Romantic
Setting The
300 year old inn and its forty acres of gardens and woodland are found at the
end of a long leafy road. It sits alone on its own bay, resting on a
spit of land that juts into the waters of Loch Awe. Looking down the loch from
Taychreggan just before dusk is an almost spiritual experience.

and archways. Most of
all, relax and enjoy a true Highland experience.

Argyll's
Historical Heritage As a new day dawns, it's time to explore Argyll's
rich heritage and natural beauty. You may wish to visit one of the numerous historic
places such as Inveraray or Loch Awe's Kilchurn Castle pictured above. We
all deserve a little tranquility... You may, of course, wish to sit and
do absolutely nothing for a while. A rare pastime indeed in our busy world and
one that's encouraged at Taychreggan.
Taychreggan,
where we all deserve a little tranquility ...
